Maxyne is a real fiber producer for a little gal. Her cria fleece was a little over 5 pounds and her 2013&14 fleeces were nearly 6 pounds. Both blankets were over 3 pounds. She is medium fine but has a great staple length and good crimp. She isn't overly dense but her length makes up for that. Our shearer says she does what we are raising alpacas for - producing fleece! Her lineage is excellent.  Maxyne is very easy to handle and has a nice disposition. We expect her to pass her outstanding fleece and personality on to her own cria.  She has been bred to Stellar Comet and we expect her first cria on the ground next summer.  Comet is a 2 time National winner and has numerous color championships.

Maxyne's sire is Dorado of Stellagarth, a Hemi-Accoyo Victor's Vic Jr. son, and PPeruvian Victor great grandson. Dorado is a medium fawn boy with the dense crimpy fiber qualities of his father and grandfather. He has passed along his outstanding fiber to all of his cria and continues to win awards in the show ring.

Maxyne's Great Grandsire is the infamous PPeruvian Victor Victor. Victors fleece swept the awards in the 1995 AOBA National Fleece Show, garnering awards for Best Growth Huacaya, Most Uniform Huacaya, Best Crimp Huacaya, Spinners Choice, and Cottage Industries Choice. At the 1997 AOBA National Fleece Show, Victors fleece took first place for Adult Fawn Huacaya, and overall Knitters Choice Huacaya. In his prime,Victor sheared an incredible 14 pounds per year with over 8 pounds of blanket, and a staple length of over 6 inches. Victors offspring, and each subsequent generation, have won innumerable awards in the show ring and in fleece shows, and include many first place and championship awards in colors ranging from white, fawn, brown, to black. The hallmarks of Victor fleece genetics are superior crimp, density, luster, fineness, and excellent staple length along with his ability to transmit all of these qualities in a wide range of colors.

Maxyne with PPeruvian Victor genetics, outstanding fleece, and award winning disposition would be a great addition to anyone serious about producing high quality fleece!
